As one of 85,000 employers in the region, we are counting on your support to help ALL of our troops find their place as civilians. Each year throughout San Diego County over 15,000 service members transition from military service with another 37,000 Iraq/Afghanistan veterans living in the area seeking a new life. Most of them struggle to enter the civilian job market despite the skills they developed in the military.

Recent surveys reveal that:
- Over 90% of returning service members do not feel ready to enter the civilian job market.
- A same number have not defined their new career goals and are unclear about next steps.
- Many struggle to overcome anxiety, self-doubt, negative thoughts, and fears of getting out of the military.
- A large number of service members feel lost after living the in highly structured and disciplined world of the military.
To address the concerns revealed in surveys, the REBOOT Workshop was developed.
REBOOT is a three-week cognitive-behavioral Workshop developed by the National Veterans Transition Services, Inc. (NVTSI) and our partners that have proven to be 98% successful in helping over 1000 transitioning service members and veterans address the concerns identified in surveys. We accomplish this by using evidence-based (proven) methods to help veterans create a new identity; discover their purpose/passion; and aligning their goals with a new career aligned with that passion. After this program many have expressed they no long have anxiety, self doubt, nor negative thoughts about their decision to depart from the military. As a result, they are ready to participate in society with a less mandated structure.
The REBOOT Workshop is different from the current government-oriented transitional programs because we are holistically providing transitional training that incorporates behavioral change. The current government-operated transition programs focus only on information about the benefits guaranted veterans and resume development. From the survey perspective, they fall short by failing to mentally prepare our troops for battle to civilian life. Also, government-operated transition programs seem to ignore numerous reports that reveal traditional transition methods are not very effective and do not provide the necessary mental readiness our service members/veterans need to successfully enter the civilian job market. We have answered that call.
REBOOT can provide employers with access to over 15,000 successfully transitioned job-ready service members each year but we need your help.
We are asking you to invest $2500 a year in our troops!
This is not a donation but an investment and a smart business move. In addition to helping veterans successfully transition from military to civilian life, your donation will give you access to transitioning service members and veterans who are ready for the workforce. Your donation will also classify you as a veteran sponsor and for this status you will be recognized for supporting our troops; provided with recruitment assistance for placing veterans in your company; have your company or business featured on our website; invited to attend REBOOT graduations; and you will be recognized as a veteran-friendly employer.
