– National Veterans Transition Services, Inc. (NVTSI), also known as Operation REBOOT, a San Diego-based non-profit that helps veterans transition back to civilian life, is organizing a Military & Veterans InTransition Muster, presented by Bank of America, on Tuesday, Aug. 16. A muster is a military term that means a formal gathering of troops for inspection or a “check-in.”

The day-long conference will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Liberty Station Conference Center, 2600 Laning Road in San Diego (92106). The day will consist of networking with 350 military and veterans, Warriors to the Workforce Hiring Fair, featuring 40 exhibitors/resources, breakout sessions and a continental breakfast, plus keynote lunch program.

The keynote will be given by Dr. Samantha Madhosingh. Known as America’s “Holistic Success Doctor®,” Dr. Samantha is a clinical psychologist, certified professional coach, and an expert speaker on emotional wellness, happiness, fulfillment, love, relationships and holistic success. She will discuss the Power of Positive Self Talk.

There will be two plenary sessions featuring eight experts in military to civilian transition and five transition tracks with experts covering topics such as: employment and career, education, living situation, personal effectiveness/wellbeing and community-life functioning.

NVTSI has helped thousands of veterans make the challenging switch back to civilian life through workshops that focus on relearning civilian culture while using military skills to their advantage. The educational workshops build upon military training and experience while preparing for life after the military. Operation REBOOT will match veterans with more than 500 area businesses.
